11.16 WED Noon - Tom Grape, CEO, Benchmark Assisted Living
Tom Grape, CEO, Benchmark Assisted Living
Lunch will be served.
Tom Grape is the CEO of Benchmark Assisted Living -- the
largest senior living provider in New England. Senior housing
is one of the hottest real estate markets in the country,
attracting core investors and foreign capital for the first
time. Tom is excited to share some of his stories, discuss
the impact of the baby boomers on senior housing and talk
about the current real estate market with the MIT Sloan
community.
Tom is a successful real estate investor and entrepreneur
-- he started the company in 1997 with no properties; the
company now has 43 communities and has innovated the way
senior housing is done nationally. Recently awarded "Entrepreneur
of the Year" by Ernst & Young for real estate/hospitality
in the New England region, Tom also completed a two-year
term as chairman of the national trade group for
assisted living.
